We work for your workplace.
After representing and personally getting to know many physicians and healthcare providers, we understand the demanding nature of their job. We know that many physicians, nurses, and hospital administrators are on call 24 hours a day and may have to answer critical questions in the middle of the night, during dinner, or on vacations. At Midwest Legal Partners, we believe that lawyers should provide the same attention and treatment to their clients. This is why we welcome your questions at any time for any practice area, and we will answer them promptly. This requires more than a 9 to 5 commitment, but our reasons for choosing this profession did not include convenient hours.

The status of our nation’s healthcare remains a high priority and one of the most important domestic issues facing the country. While healthcare reform remains a hotly debated topic in the national landscape, it has become increasingly clear that the statutes are not static. Recently, Congress passed and President Obama signed into law sweeping healthcare reform covering an array of health law topics, titled the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). This statute, spanning 906 pages of law, includes information that every physician, hospital, insurance company, and other healthcare providers and payers should be aware of in the years to come. With talk of repealing or amending the bill, healthcare institutions need to be constantly updated as to the latest developments. The common perception is that health law mostly consists of medical malpractice issues and tort reform. The business aspects of healthcare actually predominate. From respective state laws addressing reform to federal statutes, the best way to address the big three issues of ACCESS, COST, and QUALITY remains at large.
Our firm is constantly making sure our clients are updated on the latest developments. We do this with free memos on relevant amendments, constant communication through various avenues, and regular meetings and consultations with our clients. We have found that a major deal can be killed when a certain provision is hidden and slipped in a non-related bill. This is why we go deeper and look beyond the easily searchable prominent healthcare laws. We also keep our clients updated on the latest opinions from the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and other developments from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
We understand that healthcare is a very demanding field and doctors, nurses, hospitalists, and clinical staff work tirelessly to help others. We hope to make their job easier by not having to worry about the red tape and business complications that underlie the profession. Please see the links below that detail the various topics of health law the attorneys of our firm have addressed and represented. Our scope goes even beyond the links listed below. The healthcare industry remains one of the most expensive, and thus one of the most highly regulated in the country. We make sure our clients make informed and sound medical, as well as business, decisions for their respective practice.
